Program Facilitator: Grandmothers Support Group

The Richmond Women’s Resource Centre (RWRC) is seeking a Program Facilitator for our Grandmothers Support program.

The RWRC is a drop-in centre where women come to discuss their needs and concerns and obtain assistance, guidance, moral support and information on available community services. The RWRC offers a variety of programs and services to our members.

The successful applicant will facilitate a bi-weekly Grandmothers Support Group. The group usually meets on Monday mornings. The salary is $15.00 per hour for a total of 8 hours per month.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of issues affecting older women
  • Experience working with women from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Experience in program promotion, peer support and group facilitation for women
  • Experience in teaching basic English Conversation and developing lesson plans
  • Ability to plan ahead, organize field trips and make reports on program activities
  • Knowledge of resources of City of Richmond
  • Mandarin speaking candidate preferred
