Hot Ink Creative Writing for Teens

DESCRIPTION: A creative writing program for teen girls that encompasses writing exercises & activities, workshopping sessions, field trips, and the publication of a year-end magazine.

FACILITATOR: KELLY SHORROCKS

Kelly Shorrocks worked as a Logistics Officer in the Canadian Forces for eight years before retiring and starting her own freelance writing and editing business. She has a degree in Professional Writing, an university certificate in Publishing and is currently obtaining a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing at UBC. Her work has appeared in Chatelaine, Georgia Straight and Pie Magazine, and most recently, Kelly had an essay published in Embedded on the Home Front, an anthology by Heritage House Press.
